How to Sell on Risely: The Complete Vendor Guide

Got a specific dish, taste, or cooking style? Let it show in your profile and menu — customers on Risely aren't looking for a generic restaurant, they're looking for your food.

If you love to cook and want to turn that into income, Risely makes it simple to start selling — no restaurant, no storefront, just your kitchen and your recipes. Here's everything you need to get started.

Step 1: Create Your Vendor Profile

  1. Download the Risely app (or visit risely.ng) and sign up as a Vendor.
  2. Add your name/business name, a profile photo, and a short bio telling customers who you are and what you cook. This is your first impression — make it warm and personal.
  3. Add your location so nearby customers can find you.

Step 2: List Your Menu

  1. Go to My Menu and tap Add Item.
  2. For each dish, add:
  3. A clear, appetizing photo (natural light works best — avoid dark or blurry shots)
  4. Dish name and short description
  5. Price
  6. Availability (e.g., daily, weekends only, pre-order)
  7. Organize your menu into categories if you sell multiple types of food (e.g., Breakfast, Swallow & Soups, Snacks).

Tip: Vendors with clear photos and detailed descriptions get more orders — customers order what they can see and understand.

Step 3: Set Your Availability

Let customers know when you're cooking and taking orders. Update your status regularly:

  1. Open for orders — actively cooking and accepting new orders
  2. Closed — not taking orders right now

This keeps expectations clear and avoids missed or delayed orders.

Step 4: Receive and Manage Orders

  1. When a customer places an order, you'll get a notification.
  2. Review the order details and confirm it.
  3. Prepare the food and update the order status (e.g., "Preparing," "Ready," "Out for delivery" — depending on your delivery setup).
  4. Communicate with the customer directly if there are any questions about the order.

Step 5: Get Paid

  1. Customers pay via bank transfer directly to your account.
  2. Keep your bank details up to date in your profile settings to avoid payment delays.
  3. Confirm payment before finalizing orders, especially for larger or custom orders.

Step 6: Build Your Reputation

  1. Deliver consistent quality — your repeat customers are your best marketing.
  2. Encourage happy customers to leave reviews and ratings.
  3. Respond to feedback (positive or negative) professionally — it builds trust with future customers.

Tips for Success on Risely

  1. Post regularly: Keep your menu fresh and update your availability often — active vendors get more visibility.
  2. Great photos matter: Food is visual. Clear, appetizing photos significantly increase orders.
  3. Be consistent: Reliable cooking times and order fulfillment build long-term customer trust.
